Radiator vervangen - remove the radiator and cut the pipe

Het demonteren van een radiator in een slaapkamer in een flatgebouw komt om de oude radiator te demonteren en 20 cm pijp door te snijden. Woningcoöperatie Vve zei dat de CV-ketel is uitgeschakeld. Moet ik nu een kelder zoeken met een klep die het water verticaal afsluit of iets anders?

I'm sorry, but my Dutch is not good enough. The idea is to remove the radiator and cut the pipe. The central heating is turned off, but there is water in the pipes. Is it enough to turn off the main valve in the basement across the entire riser or should I do something else?

No problem.
I would advice not to cut those pipes. You would need special tools to close them of.

You will need te turn off the main valves (there should be 2)
Then you will need to take the pressure of and drain (part of) the system.

Remove the radiator at the radiator valve, remove the valve and put a cap on the pipe. (also at the bottom one)
Depending on the system you wil need to refill, open the main valves, get the air out of the systeem and maybe more.

In apartment buildings working on the heating system can be tricky.

My English isn't perfect, so if something sounds wierd, I probably used a wrong word.
