Lampen verander van mr16 naar gu10

Hallo allemaal,

I'm writing in English but please reply in Dutch, I have no problem understanding it.

I want to replace my mr16 spotlights with GU10, I have already bought the GU10 adapters but they don't seem to work. I then discovered this box in the ceiling, should I replace it with a higher wattage version? I have attached a picture

Reason for replacing with GU10 is that currently the mr16 bulbs flicker when I dimm them at certain brightness.

mr16 fittingen worden toegepast bij lampen op laagspanning, in dit geval waarschijnlijk 12 volt. GU10 fittingen worden toegepast bij lampen op 230 volt.

Om dit te laten werken zul je dus ook de transformator moeten verwijderen en heel waarschijnlijk ook de bedrading moeten aanpassen zodat alles geschikt is voor 230 volt.

That's interesting, thanks for the information. Is there a specific reason why someone would rather use a 12v bulb instead of 230?

Is this something that I would be able to change myself without changing anything to the main power board? Or would I need a professional?
